Chalene Johnson has become a household name when it comes to at home workout dvd programs. She has taken the techniques she has developed over the years and put them in some extremely popular workout dvds. And now she is at it again with her new workout set to be released in the spring of 2010 called Turbo Fire.

This new workout is sure to be high energy and high impact. Rumors have it that this workout is going to focus more on the cardio aspects of workouts verses weights and resistance. This would be awesome because that means the workout would need no extra equipment like resistance bands or dumbbells.

Even the name Turbo Fire says to me that this workout is going to be intense and full of energy. Chalene is known for her high energy and enthusiastic personality. The Importance of Comfortable Zumba Dance Clothes

It does not matter what type of workout you are performing, having comfortable clothes is vital. Working out with a Zumba dance routine is no different. There are special Zumba dance clothes that you should wear before you attempt the dance.

P90X Women Results For Workout

The P90X women results workout program used for an exercise program that everyone knew early in the morning, thanks to the late night infomercials. What works best? P90X workout or madness? The Power Hour

Here's a test: The alarm goes off--what do you do?

a. Alarm? What alarm? That's for people who work!

b. Roll over, turn it off, and plead with God for ten more minutes.

c. Jump out of bed, take a cleansing breath, and yell, "Thank you for this day!"

I'm not sure how you start the day, but I will tell you that how you begin your day is the greatest predictor of how the rest of your day will follow. Do you want an average day? Then just be like the rest of the masses and start your day in an average way.

But if you're ready for your best life, if you want greatness and abundance, then you need to begin your day with a Power Hour. I know what you're thinking. I'm a busy mom just like you. An hour? When can I find an hour in my crazy day? Well, here's the deal. This investment of time will actually pay you back in amazing ways. You will have more energy to accomplish your goals and your time will seem to multiply as a result. And, I've found out that we all do what we MUST do. If you are really determined to live a better life, you will do those things you must do to get there. It's your moment-by-moment decisions that will create your destiny, and the first opportunity you have is that moment that your eyes open in the morning.

So, let's go back to that first scenario.

Your alarm goes off in the morning. Here's what you are going to do, and it may very well be the most difficult thing you do in your entire day. But, if you can do this, you can do just about anything--Jump out of bed.

Yes, you read that right. JUMP out of bed. If you can will your body to do this one task, you can command your entire day.

So, sit up, swing those pretty legs of yours around the bed and JUMP. Then, you're going to take three deep, cleansing breaths (in through your nose, out through your mouth), and say--OUT LOUD!--"Thank you for this day!"

I have a little motto I live by, "Worst First." It is the hardest thing to do in the morning, but that is exactly the reason you need to do it. This puts YOU in charge!

So, now the clock is ticking:

:00--Jump out of bed

:01--Mix up a magic brew to drink (and I'm not talking about coffee). There are lots of nutritious beverages to drink, or you can juice some veggies. I mix up one of my own tried and true concoctions of green vegetable powder, vitamin powder, protein powder, flax meal, and probiotics. After drinking your brew, you can always chase it with some green tea or coffee.

:05--Get on some clothes you can sweat in. I wear the same stinky workout clothes every morning for a week before tossing it in the laundry. Hey, I wake up early. No one is smelling me but me (and we all know you can never smell your own funk).

:10--Okay, this next part is going to take half an hour, but it is so worth it! Get outside and go walking! And don't just do any old measly walking. Hold your head HIGH! Take deep, cleansing breaths (in through your nose, out through your mouth). Make long, powerful strides! And when you go walking, you're going to divide this thirty minutes into two parts:

* Part One: Spend fifteen minutes being grateful. Think of those who are closest to you and thank God for them, now extend it to your friends, other family members, those you work with, and beyond. Send that love and gratitude out.

* Part Two: Spend the last fifteen minutes visualizing those those situations you want to happen (the changes you want made, the goals you want accomplished), but do so as if it has already occurred. Instead of just asking God to supply your needs, thank Him that He already has. What a difference! Get in the state of mind and body as if these situations have already happened because God is working in your favor! What a blessing!

:40--Now, you're energized! For the next twenty minutes, use that time to sit with a book, pen, and paper and do some growing. This is when I read my bible.

:60--Your Power Hour is done and now it's time to hit the showers and get dressed. You may be skeptical about this investment of time, but PLEASE! Try to prove me wrong. Try it for two weeks, minimum, and see for yourself if it doesn't change your life in remarkable ways. C'mon, DO IT! Aren't you ready to live an abundant life? It all starts with YOU!

Yoga Clothes

Yoga is relaxing and a great workout for your body and mind. Yet like anything else, it can come with its fair share of frustrations. One of the things new students ask me the most is what type of yoga clothes are the best to wear while exercising.

It may sound a bit superficial, but hear me out. I am not advocating that you go out and buy a whole new wardrobe just so you can look stylish while getting fit. While this is important to many people, it is not the sort of concern which is the most important thing. What is the most important is that your yoga clothes be comfortable. Clothing that is too tight can restrict your movements. Meanwhile, clothing that is too baggy can get in the way. You simply do not want anything to be a distraction during your workout, especially the things you can control such as what you are wearing.

With this said, finding something that is comfortable is the first requirement. Remember that when it comes to what you wear during a workout, the biggest distraction is how you feel in your second skin. Feeling comfortable is a two part concept: mental comfort and physical comfort. You need to feel comfortable with how you look, but most importantly for yoga, you need to feel physically comfortable in your yoga clothes if you want the most out of your workout. This is followed closely by how your wardrobe actually fits.

Ideally, you want something that is loose enough so that you can have a full range of motion for your poses. I find that simple cotton shirts are great for your upper body. Having a tight shirt is actually very bad since many poses require plenty of fluid movement. Although it should be noted that a shirt that is too big tends to bind.

You also want yoga clothes that are tight enough so that they do not fall down or become an obstacle. I would suggest elastics for your lower body. By having pants that are tight, yet can stretch, you can be sure they never get in the way. If you are not comfortable with elastic, sweat pants can work. You just have to make sure that they are not too baggy and that the waistband will stay in place. The last thing you want is for them to slip. Anything that gets in the way of your feet can be disastrous when you are attempting poses that require a lot of balance.

This makes the dressing room at the store extremely important. I cannot stress this enough: try your clothes on before you buy them! While you are at it, try some poses while you are in the dressing room. That should give you a good idea for how your yoga clothes will work during class. Of course, things shrink in the wash and what not, but you will have a better idea for what those items can handle.

The Benefits of Army Workout Routines

Get Toned Abs - Learn Phenomenal Exercises to Get Toned Abs Fast!

The concept of doing exercises to get toned abs is simple and easy to see yourself doing, but putting that plan into action may prove to be more difficult.

The lower abdomen of the stomach is a very difficult area to target, but if you implement these exercises correctly you'll see phenomenal results.

The two exercises we'll be learning to get toned abs fast are the Hanging Knee Raise, and the Full Vertical Crunch. Two great exercises with the sole purpose of toning the lower abdominals.

The Hanging Knee Raise

This exercises forces you to stay in complete control. It demands that you use your abs to lift your knees to your face while hanging. Super tough to do, but if you can you'll feel like a workout pro.

All you'll need to do this exercise is a chin-up bar and workout clothes. Nothing else. To begin this exercise, grab onto your chin-up bar with both hands, and make sure they're a shoulder length apart. With a good grip on your chin-up bar, cross your legs at your ankle.

Our next step is to lift your knees up to your chest, contracting your abdomen to do so. Hold your knees at your chest for a few seconds before lowering them down. Make sure not to straighten your legs completely on the way down. Just let them down slowly with your knees slightly bent, and then bring your knees back up to your chest in the same movement.

This is a very good exercise to do and you'll definitely get the most out of it.

Full Vertical Crunch

Another one our great exercises to get toned abs fast is the Full Vertical Crunch. A variation of the traditional sit up, this exercise forces you to lift your legs rather than your back.

To begin this exercise, lie on your back and extend your legs up toward the ceiling. After doing so, place your hands behind your head and contract the abs to lift your shoulder blades off the floor. At the same time, push your legs straight up towards the ceiling lifting your butt off the floor to do so. You should create a "U" shape with your body. Lower your back down to the floor and repeat this movement for 12 to 16 reps.

These are definitely great exercises to get toned abs fast. By doing these two exercises correctly, you'll definitely be on your way to a god-like body.

4. Give your Body some Time to Wake Up

In the early hours of the morning, we all love to hit that snooze button on our alarm clock but instead of getting more sleep, you can ease into your morning by listening to some soft or classical music while you do some light stretching. So, instead of waking up in a mad rush to beat the clock, give yourself a few minutes to wake up to complete an energizing morning workout and deal with the family morning rush.

5. Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Dance Clothes

There are many categories of dance clothes. Different styles of dance have different requirements for the necessary wear. However, nearly every dance form will require comfortable attire.

One of the most basic pieces of dance clothing is the leotard. These garments are generally made from a lightweight, stretchy material like Lycra or spandex. They are designed to be tight-fitting so that they move with the body rather than around it. The leotard commonly comes in short and long sleeve varieties and is the standard workout outfit for ballet and many forms of modern dance.

Dresses and skirts are common articles of dance clothes. These items are made to be lightweight and to flow around the body as it moves. Dance skirts are usually made from Lycra, nylon, cotton, or any combination of the three. They come in a myriad of styles from the classic tutu to more contemporary designs like the camisole empire dress. Most professional dancers will have a large selection of these outfits in their closet.

Shoes vary quite a bit, depending on the style of dance. Ballet shoes are designed to fit tightly to the foot and are often made from very soft leather. They are lightweight and very flexible in design. Also called ballet slippers, these shoes are generally inexpensive.

Ballroom dance shoes are designed to look like those you would find in a formal dress setting. Again, they are generally lightweight and flexible, but are designed to offer more support than ballet shoes. Women's ballroom shoes often have a taller heel, much like typical dress shoes.

Men's dance clothes are usually much simpler in design than women's dancewear. In most cases it consists of nothing more than a pair of tights and a fitted t-shirt. Exceptions include when specific costumes for all dancers are necessary for choreographed performances. Jazz pants are also available and these items are often popular because they are looser fitting, akin to sweat pants.

7 Great Cardio Workout Routines

Cardio exercise are very essential for its many benefits like :

A.Weight loss
B.Stronger heart and lungs

F.Temporary relief from depression and anxiety

Following are 7 steps for cardio workout routines:

1. Running

Running is one the simplest exercise to do which is very effective too. It doesn't require special equipment (except some quality shoes) and you can do it anywhere. Best of all, you burn serious calories, especially if you add hills and sprints. The downside is, it takes lots of practice and you should watch your knees and ankles for any discomfort or pain.

2. Bicycling

Do it Outdoors or indoors, cycling gives some great cardio. Using all the power in your legs, you'll increase endurance while burning lots of calories, anywhere from 250-500 in 30 minutes, depending on your speed and your resistance power. This exercise is fun too.

3. Step Aerobics

Step is one tough workout that targets your legs, butt and hips while burning almost 400 calories in 30 minutes (during high intensity sessions). Though it might look complicated, step is easy to learn if you start with a beginner class or video.

4. Walking

Walking is a great exercise, burning about 180 calories in 30 minutes. Addition of hills, sprints or even a few minutes of jogging will only increase the amount of calories you burn. Make sure you walk briskly and keep you head up, back straight and swing your arms. This isn't a hard exercise at all.

5. Swimming

Swimming is an exercise for the entire body. The more body parts you involve in your workout, the more calories you'll burn. 30 minutes of breast stroke will help you shed 400 calories. Best advantage is that your joints are fully supported so you need not worry about high-impact injuries. It's also great cross-training for other cardio activities.

6. Handball

The side-to-side sprints while playing strengthen your legs and increase your heart rate. The learning curve is high, so plan on practicing a lot before you can even hit that little ball.

7. Rowing

This is an often a machine in the gym which is not used much because most people are confused about how it works. Increase in heart rate as well as arm work rate are the effects of rowing.

Workout Motivation - Keeping It Up

Time and time again we'll start working out with good intentions to keep it up and then after the first few days we quit. Sometimes it is because we are so sore those first few days that we can't keep it up. For me it is when I miss day or two and can't get back into the routine.

Here are a few tips to keep up the motivation that have helped me towards my fitness goals.

1) Set a specific time of day to do your workouts. I find that committing to doing it at the same time each day I am more likely to get it done. I prefer mornings prior to work. If I miss my morning workout it's a lot harder to do it when I get home. I think I'll do it when I get home from work, then I push it off to after dinner, and then after my favorite show and before I know it it's time for bed.

2) It doesn't have to be a 60 to 90 minute workout, just 20 to 30 minutes each day and you will feel the results. Fitting a 60 to 90 minute workout is just not an option for me with my current schedule. It may be for some, but I know that after working out for 30 minutes a day consistently for a week I can totally feel the difference. They biggest key is to keep it up.

3) Plan your workouts and stick to the schedule. I make myself a workout calendar and list the specific workout that I plan to do each day. Plus, it keeps me motivated to cross off that I did what I had planned on doing that day.

4) Find a workout buddy. For several months I used to go to a gym each morning to meet my sister. We rarely missed any days because if she was going to be there I needed to be and vise versa. If you do your workouts at home you can still have a workout buddy to keep you accountable. Join a forum or commit with a friend who is doing the same.

5) Don't overdo it right up front. If you work out so hard that you literally can't walk for days then you're not going to keep it up. Soreness is normal and after a few days to a week it will pass, but if you do so much that you are in serious pain you have done too much. It's not likely that your going to get up and do another workout.

6) Last, keep it up. If you only have time for 15 minutes, workout for 15 minutes, if you have time for 30, do 30. If you miss a day or two, jump back into in on day three. If you consistently work out 4 to 5 days a week you will feel the difference and see results.

A couple other things I like to do to keep me motivated is to keep out one of my favorite outfits that I'm working towards fitting into. Every few weeks I pull out my boxes of "skinny" clothes to see what I can get into. I also like to find magazine pictures of people working out and in shape to hang up in my bedroom or bathroom to keep me motivated. You just need to find what works best for you.

Professionalism

Always be professional, do not fall into the old friends trap, you will lose more than you will ever be able to gain back. I have had a few occasions where I was doing business as a consultant and I was asked if I could attend a social event to celebrate the success of the project. I was pleased that the company had asked me and I graciously accepted. The event was on a Saturday afternoon so I dressed appropriately for a BBQ.

When I got to the event, everyone else was dressed the same way except the host who was basically in his workout clothes. He was treating everyone like old friends, which is not a bad thing. The problem turned out to be the language he chose to use at the event. If I had joined in as the others, I would have lost a great deal of respect. I decided that I would stay to be sociable but would take the first opportunity to leave. As much as I wanted to be part of the group, I did not feel I would gain anything by lowering my professionalism.

I am sure most of you have been in similar situations. It is very difficult not to join in but if it is a customer, you should not let yourself be part of it. I also had another occasion to visit an alliance partner at his office during the off-peak working time. He was very casual in dress and spent most of his time talking about other things than business. I was very polite and left wondering if I had the right alliance in place. The important lesson is to make sure you stay professional at all times. Being professional will do more for you than if you do not.

Being friends with customers is also important as it is part of the business relationship you have. Let them get to know you for what you can do in business and not how you socialize.
